Wednesday Weekly Recap

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here is a recap of what we've been up to for the past week!

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Noodle likes to play on the couch with his toys, specifically the ghost and snowman. Today he had no interest in playing, but sat on the couch with the snowman and the remote watching TV.

Thursday, April 16, 2015

In the Spring of 2007 I was finishing up my second to last semester and will neVer forgeT the days, weeks, and months that followed April 16, 2007. I think of my fellow Hokies often, but especially today.

Friday, April 17, 2015

Friday after work I made Dessert Kabobs - I made these for a potluck at work Saturday afternoon and for Family Game Night on Saturday evening. While I don't like chocolate or marshmallows, these were a big hit with everyone else!

Saturday, April 18, 2015

Earlier this week Jonathan and I went to Target to find a fun game for Family Game Night. We wanted a game that everyone could play and we ended up picking Wits and Wagers | Party Edition. We had soooo much fun playing and of course, Lauren and I were on the purple team and won the game!

Sunday, April 19, 2015

Sunday morning I was up bright and early for the Lilly Pulitzer for Target sale. You can check out the whole recap of what I got here! After a busy morning I headed home to relax and hang out with Jonathan. It was nice to have a relaxing day that included naps, watching golf, and more naps!

Monday, April 20, 2015

I changed up my chalkboard art today with a design that covers the rest of April and can be used well into May. I definitely need to work on making these look better - but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Here is my first attempt at chalkboard art, and my cheat for making the perfect chalkboard!

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Beginning on Friday I am starting the Beachbody 3-Day Refresh. It will be immediately followed by a Beachbody 21-day fix challenge. I got everything in the mail on Friday but finally sat down to plan out the next few weeks today! If you are interested in any of the Beachbody programs or products please email Alisa here or check out her Facebook page here!

Come back next week for another Weekly Recap! See you then!

Wednesday Weekly Recap

Happy Wednesday to all! Enjoy the recap of the past week!

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

On Wednesday I had a few things that I had to do throughout the day, and I was able to work from home. I set-up shop on the dining room table and worked from here all day. It is nice to have a chance every once and a while to catch-up on everything without distractions or interruptions.

Thursday, January 29, 2015

On Thursday I went Sledding... this is how sledding works in South Florida. It was one of the hardest workouts I have had since I started working out with a trainer. I can't wait to increase the weight from 45 pounds.

Friday, January 30, 2015

I was forgetful on Friday and didn't take any pictures. It was an uneventful day, spent relaxing at home after work. Jonathan had to work late, so I spent some time with Noodle and caught up on my shows. Enjoy this throwback to when Jonathan and I were in college.

Saturday, January 31, 2015

Saturday night we picked up Jonathan's cousin, Allison and her husband Sean from Miami. They stayed at my resort for a couple of days while visiting South Florida, and we took them to dinner at The Atlantic Surf Club.

Sunday, February 1, 2015

Sunday morning we went to brunch at Bimini Boatyard for the second week in a row. We really enjoy it, and the weather could not have been more perfect. We went home after brunch and watched the final episode of Parenthood, The Music Man, and football game! It was an awesome day off.

Monday, February 2 2015

On Monday I sent out my Valentine's Cards. I am keeping up with my New Years Resolution, and have been sending out mail regularly. Of course it is being sent for all holidays, but I have also been sending 1-2 cards a week just for fun!

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

On Tuesday night Finn, our brother-in-law was in town. We went to dinner at Anthony's Runway 84 and had a great meal. We missed Bridget, and wish she could have joined us! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the three of us.

Wednesday Weekly Recap

Here goes the Wednesday Weekly Recap...

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

My cousin Lauren's son, Jonathan turned 2 on Wednesday. We celebrated with balloons, presents, ice cream cake, and Elmo. He is too cute and it was great to spend time with family.

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Even though this exact picture was taken and posted on Wednesday, this is the same thing that I did on Thursday. I finished my book, relaxed outside, and worked out - aqua fitness.

Friday, January 23, 2015

One of the girls at work has 2 dogs and she brought Noodle a treat. He loved the bone and I spent the evening watching tv in bed while he chewed his new bone.

Saturday, January 24, 2015

Jonathan and I spent Saturday night drinking - Apothic Dark for me and Shock Top for him. We watched a Netflix movie and played Phase 10. Unfortunately he won 2 rounds of Phase 10. I demand a rematch!

Sunday, January 25, 2015

This Sunday was my first Sunday off, since my days off will now be Sunday and Monday! We went to brunch at Bimini Boathouse - I ate soooo many crab legs it was amazing. We then went home to watch a little basketball, and I made some paper flowers while we watched Ohio State play Indiana. We ended the afternoon by going to see American Sniper, and coming home to relax before bed.

Monday, January 26, 2015

As you know I have been working out, and my friend Madeline has joined me. While I would not say it is fun, I am definitely starting to see some progress. I hate planks, squats, and especially running... but I know it is good for me and I'm sticking to it. If only I quit drinking wine regularly, I may see more progress. :)

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

First - Wednesday was my sister's birthday - Happy Birthday Molly! Second - We have a serious addiction to Phase 10 in our house right now. We played again last night, and Jonathan's theory was proven correct... When you are playing with only one other person, the person that wins phase 1 always wins the game... It has been correct for the past 7 games.

Where I've Lived - Blacksburg, Virginia

Blacksburg, Virginia is the home of Virginia Tech. I moved to Blacksburg when I chose to go to college at Virginia Tech because I wanted to study Hospitality and see how I would do living away from home. Not only did I study in an awesome program, but I met some of my best friends, my husband, and loved every second of college.

My Virginia Tech Loves

While I have not been back to Blacksburg since 2008, I have kept in close contact with many of my college friends. We have spent time together for vacations, weddings, and most recently watched the Hokies beat the Buckeyes in football last Fall. I am sure that I will see some of these friends before September but I can't wait to go back Blacksburg this Fall to see The Virginia Tech Hokies play The Ohio State Buckeyes again! Tailgating and football in Blacksburg is no joke, and I can't wait to experience it again this year!

Looking through old pictures from the time I was in Blacksburg brought back so many great memories. I will never forget the times Kristen, Nicole, Alisa and I spent together beginning our Freshman year in East AJ, through the different apartments we lived in, and on Haemmerle Family Vacations. Football Games, Birthdays, Beer Tasting Contests, Jail, Dance Parties, Rivermill, Pint Night, Grape Blasters, Shot Nights, the list is endless.

One of my absolute favorite parts of being in Blacksburg (besides meeting Jonathan) was having the opportunity to adopt this cute puppy when he was 8 weeks old. Living in Blacksburg the summer between sophomore and junior year my roommate asked me if I wanted to go see puppies at the vet school. Who doesn't love puppies? Who knew that I would decide to adopt a puppy this day? After clearing it with the girls I was living with, and those I was moving in with in the Fall it was decided, I was getting a dog. The next day I paid $5 for my new puppy, named him Noodle and drove 5 hours home to Columbus for my sister Molly's high school graduation! Noodle has moved across the country and back. He is the perfect puppy and I can't believe he will be 9 years old in April.

If you missed my Where I've Lived post on Columbus Ohio, make sure to check it out!! Stay tuned for next week's Where I've Lived - Palm Desert, California!

2014 - A Year in Review

I cannot believe that it is New Years Eve and the end of another fantastic year. 2014 was a year of ups and downs, but I am sad to see it go. I am looking forward to all that 2015 brings but wanted to reflect back on a few of the great times that we had throughout the year.

January - We're Expecting

January started with exciting new adventures. We discovered we were going to be parents and were able to tell our families the good news! We started to prepare for our baby's arrival, excited for the adventure ahead.

February - Family Visits and a Wedding

Each February my dad and his siblings all spend a week in Florida. We are lucky enough to live close by and get to spend time with family this week each year. This year we also celebrated the marriage of my cousin Allyse while everyone was in town visiting!

March

In March Jonathan and I decided to move into a new townhouse. It is in Plantation, Florida, has a lot more space than our 2-bedroom condo had, and would give Jillian her own room!

April - Jillian Harper's Birthday

Jillian Harper Foster was born sleeping on April 2, 2014. Our fist born was a beautiful baby girl that weighed 1 pound 3 ounces and was 11.5 inches long. We miss her every day but are so happy that we became parents this year.

May - A Visit from Friends

A few of our friends came down to Fort Lauderdale for Memorial Day Weekend. While the weekend as a whole was a great time, I think the most memorable part would be our games of True American. I have yet to play this game again and I don't know if it will ever be as great as it was this weekend.

June - The US Open

We traveled to Pinehurst for the US Open this June. This was my first golf tournament outside of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio and it was great to spend the weekend with family and friends. The tournament also fell on Father's Day weekend and gave us an opportunity to spend the weekend with Bruce, Jonathan's dad.

July - Our Anniversary and Family Vacation

Jonathan and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on July 13th. We had an amazing day together and I am so lucky to call him my husband.
Every July the Haemmerle Family plans a trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This year it would be the first time that our whole family was together since Jillian Harper was born. We wanted to do something special, and decided a butterfly release would be something special that we could do to celebrate her life.

August - A Trip to Ohio

My cousin Jeff married Becky the second weekend of August. We thought it would be a perfect time to plan a trip to Ohio and spend a day at Cedar Point before the wedding. We have a tradition of going to Cedar Point every year, and this was the first time that Jonathan was able to join us.

September - Ohio State vs. Virginia Tech

I spent a long weekend in Columbus with family and friends. We tailgated and partied and cheered on Virginia Tech to a victory. It was great to spend time with my family, and friends from college that I do not get to see very often. I know that some people were upset that Ohio State lost, but I would have been happy either way since my two favorite teams were playing!

October - Remembrance Day

Jillian Harper is remembered daily by both Jonathan and I. We think of her often and do special things to make sure she is never forgotten. On this day in October we lit a candle to remember her and all babies that were lost too soon.

November - Thanksgiving Fun

November was filled with Thanksgiving decorating, crafts, and plans. We had a great time with great friends and I am glad that everyone was able to join us!

December - The End of 2014

During December there were many festivities, and activities that took place. One of my favorites took place when we were back in Virginia. We went out to meet friends on Tuesday, December 23 and ended up at the bar where Jonathan first said "I love you." It was almost 5 years ago, and of course we had to take a selfie!

I hope that everyone had a great 2014 and has an even better 2015. Happy New Year!
