Happy Wednesday everyone! Here is a recap of what we've been up to for the past two weeks! It has been a crazy two weeks and I have been pretty bad about blogging lately.

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

Noodle turns 9 years old today!! He celebrated by playing with lots of toys, going on a long walk, and having some awesome treats!! He is a spoiled puppy and we are so excited to celebrate our baby Noodle Bug!!

Thursday, April 30, 2015 - Sunday, May 3, 2015

On Monday, April 27th I started the Beachbody 21-Day Fix! If you are unfamiliar with the program you can email Alisa here to find out more! I have really enjoyed the workouts as they are quick at only 30 minutes and the meal plan is really easy to follow. Here are a few of the things I have been eating lately!

I am responsible for our Board of Directors Dinner for work and I arranged this Spring's dinner at The Capital Grille! We had a fixed menu and the options were amazing. Everyone had a great time and I was able to stick o the 21-day fix meal plan!

Tuesday, May 5, 2015 - Wednesday, May 6, 2015

I was very busy working on our Board of Directors Meeting and minutes, and preparing to go to Hilton Head for the weekend. I spent my free time doing laundry and working on meal planning/workouts.

Thursday, May 7, 2015 - Friday, May 8, 2015

Before heading to Hilton Head, SC for the weekend Jonathan and I met Lindsey and Todd in Ponte Vedra so that we could go to The Players! We had an easy drive up there and stayed the night with Shawn, Todd's uncle. We then spent all day Friday at the golf tournament. We had a great time and only one of us got really sun burned [Lindsey]. We stayed for dinner and to watch the end of the day of golf, and ended up not getting to Hilton Head until 11:30ish. It was a long day but definitely worth it!

Saturday, May 9, 2015

On Saturday we spent the day at the beach - and playing with panoramic photos! We then headed to dinner at Poseidon, an awesome new restaurant at Shelter Cove and then spent the night out at the bars at The Triangle. It has been a long time since I was out that late but we had a great time with friends!

Happy Mother's Day - A very bittersweet day. I am thankful for my baby girl that made me a Mommy and sad that I cannot be with her every day. Mother's Day makes me miss my mom more than most days, but also makes me happy to remember the awesome times I had with her. Thank you to everyone that helped make this day special!

Monday morning I headed to Belk early with Lindsey to see if I could find any good deals before we headed home. While I had been there the day before, I didn't find anything that I was sold on as I wasn't in a serious shopping mood. Lindsey and I were able to find a dress an a tank that I really liked - and she and Molly bought me a few items as my Mother's Day gift. I miss having Belk close by and finding good Lilly Pulitzer deals! We left Hilton Head around 1:00, and made our way back to Fort Lauderdale!

Heading back to work today I had over 1,000 emails... It is always a busy day when you don't work for 5 days and especially a busy day when you didn't check your email at all during that time! I am working to be better at taking photos - and I'm thinking this is my week! See you next week for another Weekly Recap!

Wednesday Weekly Recap

Happy Wednesday everyone! Here is a recap of what we've been up to for the past week!

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Noodle likes to play on the couch with his toys, specifically the ghost and snowman. Today he had no interest in playing, but sat on the couch with the snowman and the remote watching TV.

Thursday, April 16, 2015

In the Spring of 2007 I was finishing up my second to last semester and will neVer forgeT the days, weeks, and months that followed April 16, 2007. I think of my fellow Hokies often, but especially today.

Friday, April 17, 2015

Friday after work I made Dessert Kabobs - I made these for a potluck at work Saturday afternoon and for Family Game Night on Saturday evening. While I don't like chocolate or marshmallows, these were a big hit with everyone else!

Saturday, April 18, 2015

Earlier this week Jonathan and I went to Target to find a fun game for Family Game Night. We wanted a game that everyone could play and we ended up picking Wits and Wagers | Party Edition. We had soooo much fun playing and of course, Lauren and I were on the purple team and won the game!

Sunday, April 19, 2015

Sunday morning I was up bright and early for the Lilly Pulitzer for Target sale. You can check out the whole recap of what I got here! After a busy morning I headed home to relax and hang out with Jonathan. It was nice to have a relaxing day that included naps, watching golf, and more naps!

Monday, April 20, 2015

I changed up my chalkboard art today with a design that covers the rest of April and can be used well into May. I definitely need to work on making these look better - but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Here is my first attempt at chalkboard art, and my cheat for making the perfect chalkboard!

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Beginning on Friday I am starting the Beachbody 3-Day Refresh. It will be immediately followed by a Beachbody 21-day fix challenge. I got everything in the mail on Friday but finally sat down to plan out the next few weeks today! If you are interested in any of the Beachbody programs or products please email Alisa here or check out her Facebook page here!

Come back next week for another Weekly Recap! See you then!

Lilly Pulitzer for Target | What I Bought

Good Morning Ladies! As I'm sure you know by now the Lilly Pulitzer for Target Line launched yesterday. I was completely unsuccessful in buying anything online so I headed to my local target around 6:50am yesterday to try and score some of the items I wanted.

I arrived at Target around 6:50am, waiting for the store to open at 8:00am. I was the 5th person in line and the first 10 of us started chatting and became "friends." It worked out well because none of us were really looking for the same items, and if we were we all needed different sizes.

These are all of the items that I walked away with after the sale. I am keeping most of them but a few don't fit so I will be returning today or tomorrow. It is crazy to think that being the 5th person in line I still wasn't able to pick-up all of the items I wanted.

via
I first headed to the clothing items, thinking that these would sell out quickly. Not only could I only get some of the items I wanted, I couldn't even attempt to pick-up the items for other people I know. I was able to grab a few items in my size and then I headed to the home section.

via
Since a main focus of this shopping trip was to pick up items for the guest bedroom, I am please that I was able to get a couple of pillows but that's about it from the home section. It is also crazy to think that all of the accessories, beauty, shoes, and bags were gone before I even set foot in those sections.

I hope you were all able to pick up a few Lilly items during the sale. I know that tons of people are selling things on eBay for triple the price, but please know that it is not worth it. The quality of the Lilly for Target Brand is perfect for the $40 price point, but definitely not worth the prices on eBay. As a Lilly Lover, I would definitely recommend paying full price (or sale price) in-store over the ridiculous eBay prices!

Friday Favorites | Lilly for Target

Today I am linking-up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for another edition of Friday Favorites! I am super excited for the collaboration between Lilly Pulitzer and Target as they are two of my all time favorite stores! Here are the items I'm most excited about and hoping to be able to pick-up!

via
If you "google" Lilly for Target you will come up with a ton of different websites that are showing the items from the collaboration, articles about the collaboration and also photos. Here is a link to the entire look book, as shown by Target. You can find the link for shopping here, and it goes live on April 19th! Now on to my favorites! Let me know what you are planning on purchasing too!

Must Haves

navy dress | floral dress | pink dress | scarf | shorts

If you want to know what items I want to purchase, that would be just about everything that is going to be offered. Who knows what will be available, how I will like the fit, or what I will actually decide on getting but these are definitely some must haves from the women's selection.

Home Décor Items

basket | square pillow | wine stoppers | rectangle pillow | chair

I have wanted to redecorate my guest bedroom for the past 6 months or so. I finally decided that I was ready, and then found out that Lilly for Target was going to include home décor items! I decided to hold off and I am happy that I did. Hopefully I'll be able to find all of these great items to incorporate into my guest room makeover and a few to take to the beach! :)

Beauty, Accessories and Gift Ideas

bobby pins | lipstick | sandals | makeup case | tassle pouch

weekend bag | sandals | tote | bracelet | clutch

Here are more of my favorites - smaller items and things that would be great gift ideas. I start Christmas shopping in January and I'm likely going to try and pick up some of these great steals for the Lilly lovers in my family!

I hope you Lilly Lover out there are able to pick up some of these awesome items when they hit the Target stores and website on April 19th!

Tuesday Thoughts | Planners

I am thinking about blogging about random thoughts on Tuesday. I think it could be fun to discuss a different topic each week, and my first topic is going to be Planners!

For the past couple of years I have been using the Lilly Pulitzer Planner, which seem to be sold out everywhere online. My planner is the "large" size and seems to work for me.

I like that the planner offers both a monthly view, and also a weekly view which has a good amount of space for writing in each day. I do however think that I do not use it to the fullest and am considering a different planner option for next year.

Right now, I put the big things on the monthly view - birthdays, vacations, Dr. Appointments, etc. Some of these items go on the days in the weekly view, but I try to use that for more specific daily appointments and commitments. There are weeks when I am really good about using my planner, but I find that I use outlook and my phone calendar a lot too.

It is my goal to get everything down in my planner in the upcoming months. I not only want to do this to ensure that I don't forget anything important, but I think it would be a great way to look back on the days, months, and year to see what we had going on. It will also help me to keep my blog ideas written down, and hopefully ensure that I am blogging 3-4 times a week.

One thing that I am SURE will not change is my choice of pens that I use in my planner. I love my Staedtler | triplus finelinerpens, which come in so many awesome colors. They write with a fine ink line, and I feel that they never smudge. I have had these for 2 years and have yet to replace them for any reason!

Unfortunately, I am only aware of a few different planners that I think may be what I am looking for. Through different bloggers opinions that I have read online, and a few blogs that I read I am considering one of these two options:

The Simplified Planner by Emily Ley
Life Planners by Erin Condren

If you know of any other options that I should take a look at let me know! I'd love to hear your opinion.

Friday Favorites - Favorite Stores Edition

I am linking-up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for another edition of Friday Favorites! This week I'm going to focus on some of favorite places to shop, and items that are in stores now and I love!

J. Crew Factory Store

I live about two miles from Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall and it makes it very hard for me to not shop at the outlet stores. I love all things J. Crew and have found great deals and really cute things from the J. Crew Factory Store, which you can also shop online! I swear by the Gigi and Winnie pants, and you can't go wrong with any blouse or top that they offer. If you haven't already signed up for their emails, make sure to do so to receive great deals and to get a heads up when there will be sales taking place.

Lilly Pulitzer

I absolutely love Lilly, the prints, bright colors, styles, and the fit. I own more elsa blouses and callahan shorts than I would like to admit and I love every dress I have ever purchased. My sister-in-law used to work for Lilly and I still get the email updates from her old store. They are having their 1-year Anniversary sale this weekend, offering exclusive gifts and an additional 30% off of clearance items. If you are interested, give ladies at Palm Village a call or stop by one of their locations! [Asheville, NC | Knoxville, TN | Mandeville, LA]

Francesca's

I first started shopping at francesca's when I lived in Columbus, Ohio. In moving to college there were not any close by, but I have been lucky to have one near every other place I have lived. Not only do I find cute clothes and accessories every time I step foot in the store, they have all kinds of cute home and gift items too!

Nordstrom

It is a lot harder to narrow down my favorite items that are at Nordstrom right now. I could walk into any department in the store and find something that I want to walk out with.

Thanks for stopping by for today's link-up and my favorite stores! Take a minute to look around or leave a message! I'd love to hear from you.

Lilly Love

I have a love for all things Lilly Pulitzer and today was a great week for Lilly Lovers! The week started with the Lilly Pulitzer sale on Monday. Lilly offers a couple of sales a year where their merchandise is highly discounted. It is a good way for them to get rid of the older items, and a great way for Lilly Lovers to get some great deals!

Lilly Pulitzer

During the After Party Sale I was able to get some great deals and can't wait for them to arrive. Had I bought the items at full price, I would have spent over $650. I was able to save about $400 on these items by buying them during the sale. Check out my purchases below!

Lilly Pulitzer

I guess I wanted to add more white and navy to my closet? Until putting everything together I didn't even realize I bought mainly navy with a splash of white.

On Tuesday Lilly Lovers found out that Target is collaborating with Lilly Pulitzer for a line of items that are due to hit stores on April 19, 2015. To say I cannot wait is an understatement. I already told my boss I was going to make sure I am out of work this day, and I will have my family on stand-by to stop by their local target stores to pick up anything that I can't find at mine. From the pictures I have seen on instagram following LillyForTarget and Target, I cannot wait! Make sure to check-out #LillyForTarget!
