Friday Favorites | Lilly for Target

Today I am linking-up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci for another edition of Friday Favorites! I am super excited for the collaboration between Lilly Pulitzer and Target as they are two of my all time favorite stores! Here are the items I'm most excited about and hoping to be able to pick-up!

via
If you "google" Lilly for Target you will come up with a ton of different websites that are showing the items from the collaboration, articles about the collaboration and also photos. Here is a link to the entire look book, as shown by Target. You can find the link for shopping here, and it goes live on April 19th! Now on to my favorites! Let me know what you are planning on purchasing too!

Must Haves

navy dress | floral dress | pink dress | scarf | shorts

If you want to know what items I want to purchase, that would be just about everything that is going to be offered. Who knows what will be available, how I will like the fit, or what I will actually decide on getting but these are definitely some must haves from the women's selection.

Home Décor Items

basket | square pillow | wine stoppers | rectangle pillow | chair

I have wanted to redecorate my guest bedroom for the past 6 months or so. I finally decided that I was ready, and then found out that Lilly for Target was going to include home décor items! I decided to hold off and I am happy that I did. Hopefully I'll be able to find all of these great items to incorporate into my guest room makeover and a few to take to the beach! :)

Beauty, Accessories and Gift Ideas

bobby pins | lipstick | sandals | makeup case | tassle pouch

weekend bag | sandals | tote | bracelet | clutch

Here are more of my favorites - smaller items and things that would be great gift ideas. I start Christmas shopping in January and I'm likely going to try and pick up some of these great steals for the Lilly lovers in my family!

I hope you Lilly Lover out there are able to pick up some of these awesome items when they hit the Target stores and website on April 19th!

Wednesday Weekly Recap

Happy Wednesday to all! Enjoy the recap of the past week!

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

Jonathan was traveling out of the country for the day, and wasn't going to be home until late. I made a quick dinner, out of thins in the fridge. I then watched 2 episodes of how to get away with Murder and went to bed early!

Thursday, February 26, 2015

At work, our Front Office Manager took a new job so we had a going away dinner at Rocco's Tacos. It is not often that all of the mangers get together, but we had a great time!

Friday, February 27 2015

Friday morning at around 4am I had to take Jonathan to the hospital. He had been sick all night, and we thought he had food poisoning. A few bags of fluids, and a few hours later we were at home for the day. I filled his prescriptions, picked up Bananas, Rice, Apple Sauce and Bread while he napped. At some point in the afternoon we set-up the projector to play on our bedroom wall. I also caught up on the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy!

Saturday, February 28, 2015

I forgot to take any pictures on Saturday, but lately I have been taking Noodle on long afternoon walks. We love the nice weather and it gets us both a bit of exercise. I am hoping to take him on a long walk every day moving forward!

Sunday, March 1, 2015

When Bruce Springsteen debuted "Wrecking Ball" live in 2009 I was at 2 of his shows. There were 9 of us that met in New Jersey and had plans to go see 1 show. We ended up going two days in a row and it was awesome. I have seen Bruce since, and it was awesome but I don't think that any show with ever be as good as the 2-shows I saw in Giant's Stadium. Sunday when I was running errands this came on the radio, and I was super excited!

Monday, March 2, 2015

Monday I woke up super early, and I got a lot done before 11am. I wanted to get things done so that I could spend some time at the pool. I was out there for 3 hours, in perfectly sunny 78 degree weather. It was awesome and the perfect way to spend my day off.

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

With Jonathan in Virginia since Sunday, my plan was to go to work, pick-up takeout then head home until I had to pick him up from the airport. Unfortunately my day did not go as planned. I didn't end up going to work, and slept most of the day. I am hoping to feel better soon.

Wednesday Weekly Recap

Happy Wednesday to all! Enjoy the recap of the past week!

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

After dinner on Tuesday I had leftover steak. I didn't have enough to make it our dinner, but I wanted to make sure it didn't go to waste and decided I'd make nachos. They turned out to be perfect, and were a great dinner option!

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Every day, at least twice I take Noodle for a walk. We typically walk in the same route but today he wanted to wander around the neighborhood, crossing the street 2-3 times during our walk. He was really cute, turning back before changing his normal route. I had to stop and take his picture!

Friday, February 6, 2015

Friday when I got home from work I did 5 loads of laundry. If you asked me 5 years ago if this is how I would spend a Friday night I would likely have said no... but it does make me very happy when I get into a freshly made bed at the end of the day!

Saturday, February 7, 2015

On Saturday night we had our first of many Family Game Nights. My Aunt Carol hosted this first Game night. We played Apples to Apples and had so much fun. Everyone brought over an appetizer, and drinks. I was the winner of the night... of course. :) I can't wait for our next game night because Jonathan and I are going to be the hosts! I would love suggestions for games that can be played with 8-10 people!

Sunday, February 8, 2015

This week my days off changed since I will be in Virginia for a weeding this weekend. Heading into work on Sunday the sun was beautiful, and I had to take a picture! The only thing I miss about working on Sunday is the minimal traffic... but I would much rather be hanging out with Jonathan for the day!

Monday, February 9, 2015

I have continued to work-out twice a week with a trainer... and lately we work-out under a covered area at the pool in my community. It is the perfect area to set-up our workout stations. Today we focused a lot on squats, arms, and core. It was a tough workout and I am sure I will be feeling it in a few days.

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Jonathan set-up a projection screen and projector in Jillian's room so that we can watch movies. While this screen doesn't fully show how big it is, the screen takes up a whole wall in her room. It was awesome to lay out pillows and blankets and watch a movie. We started watching Perfume: The story of a Murderer, but I fell asleep about an hour into it. I'll have to let you know what I think after I watch the whole movie!

Friday Favorites - Ikea Edition

I have been reading a few different blogs over the past year, and these are part of the reason that I decided to start blogging. I love that each of the blogs I follow provide a little bit of something that I try to bring into my everyday life. There are tons of different link-ups that take place on Fridays and after thinking about it for a while I have decided to link-up with Andrea - Momfessionals, Erika - A Little Bit of Everything Blog, and Narci - Grace and Love Blog for Friday Favorites!

The first of my Friday Favorites is going to focus on a store that I only grew to love in the past year - Ikea. There is an Ikea store that is less than 5 minutes from my house. I can always find something that I want, and sometimes exactly what I need for my home. Jonathan even joins me sometimes, but only really enjoys the food that they serve. Here are a few of my favorite Ikea products that I have around the house.

I love my Ingathorp Dining Table, which is extendable with 1 extra leaf. The table can seat 4-6 when it is not extended, and up to 8 when it is. It is awesome in our dining room and looks great with the Liatorp Sideboard. While they are not a set, they definitely coordinate and look like they were designed to go together. There are many other items I want in the Liatorp collection, but this is my first piece. Here you will find mine decorated for Christmas!

For at least 6 months I was interested in the Raskog Utility Cart, but had absolutely no reason to purchase it. However, after I received the Silhouette Cameo for an early Christmas gift from Jonathan, and a ton of accessories and supplies, I bought the cart as a place to store everything. It works well, and tucks away in our office area. Its perfect, I love the color, and it is very inexpensive.

My most recent purchase, that I made yesterday in fact, were the Kassett Boxes. I keep all of my cards that I receive in photo boxes on the bookshelves in the office area of our house. Unfortunately those that I had been using were full, and I couldn't find any additional that matched since they were about 4 years old. These boxes are sold in a 2/pack for only $4.99. I bought three packs, but am only needing to use 4 right now. The two extra boxes will be stored until I need them, so that I don't run into any issues with finding matching boxes in the future.

I often search Pinterest for Projects using Ikea Products, and have found an awesome closet storage solution using this Kallax Shelving Unit. I have not yet purchased it since I need to work on completing a few projects first. Stay tuned for an update on this in the upcoming weeks!

It looks like I only buy white pieces from Ikea, that is something I didn't realize until I wanted to show you all of my Ikea favorites. I hope that you all have a great weekend and don't forget to link-up and share your favorite things!

Where I've Lived - Blacksburg, Virginia

Blacksburg, Virginia is the home of Virginia Tech. I moved to Blacksburg when I chose to go to college at Virginia Tech because I wanted to study Hospitality and see how I would do living away from home. Not only did I study in an awesome program, but I met some of my best friends, my husband, and loved every second of college.

My Virginia Tech Loves

While I have not been back to Blacksburg since 2008, I have kept in close contact with many of my college friends. We have spent time together for vacations, weddings, and most recently watched the Hokies beat the Buckeyes in football last Fall. I am sure that I will see some of these friends before September but I can't wait to go back Blacksburg this Fall to see The Virginia Tech Hokies play The Ohio State Buckeyes again! Tailgating and football in Blacksburg is no joke, and I can't wait to experience it again this year!

Looking through old pictures from the time I was in Blacksburg brought back so many great memories. I will never forget the times Kristen, Nicole, Alisa and I spent together beginning our Freshman year in East AJ, through the different apartments we lived in, and on Haemmerle Family Vacations. Football Games, Birthdays, Beer Tasting Contests, Jail, Dance Parties, Rivermill, Pint Night, Grape Blasters, Shot Nights, the list is endless.

One of my absolute favorite parts of being in Blacksburg (besides meeting Jonathan) was having the opportunity to adopt this cute puppy when he was 8 weeks old. Living in Blacksburg the summer between sophomore and junior year my roommate asked me if I wanted to go see puppies at the vet school. Who doesn't love puppies? Who knew that I would decide to adopt a puppy this day? After clearing it with the girls I was living with, and those I was moving in with in the Fall it was decided, I was getting a dog. The next day I paid $5 for my new puppy, named him Noodle and drove 5 hours home to Columbus for my sister Molly's high school graduation! Noodle has moved across the country and back. He is the perfect puppy and I can't believe he will be 9 years old in April.

If you missed my Where I've Lived post on Columbus Ohio, make sure to check it out!! Stay tuned for next week's Where I've Lived - Palm Desert, California!

Where I've Lived - Columbus, Ohio

Over the next month or so I figured I'd post about the different places that I have lived. I think it will be a good way to look back on the places I have lived and people that I have met along the way [and miss]. First up - Columbus, Ohio!

As seen in Port Columbus International Airport

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and lived there until I went to college in 2004. While I absolutely love my family and friends, I do not think that I will ever live in Ohio again. There are some things that will always bring me back, and some things that will always keep me away...actually only one thing will keep me away... Winter.

My Ohio Loves

I love and miss my family - they are the most awesome people in the world and I don't know what I would do without them. This amazing looking group of people are one of the reasons I will always love Ohio. The Haemmerle Family is full of hilarious, loving, and entertaining people and I only wish I was able to see them more often.

For anyone that has talked to me about sports ever, they will know that I love The Ohio State Buckeyes! I am soooo excited for them to be playing in the National Championship Game tonight! Go Bucks!! I was lucky to be able to head to Columbus in September to see the Hokies play Ohio State at The Shoe. It was awesome to see all of my college friends from Virginia Tech and was the only time I was okay no matter which team won!!

Another Ohio Favorite is CEDAR POINT. I have made it home to go to Cedar Point every year since 2004 except 1. To say that I am dedicated is a little bit of an understatement. For years I have been telling Jonathan that he had to come with me and experience the amazing roller coasters for himself. This year my cousin got married, and we planned a Cedar Point trip around the wedding weekend. Molly and Chris weren't able to make it, but Dad, Ann, Lindsey, Todd, Jonathan and I had the best time ever!

Stay tuned for next week's Where I've Lived - Blacksburg, Virginia!

Christmas and New Years Cards

I know it was a while ago that I wrote the post about Holiday Cards. I finally made the decision to order my cards when I was in Ohio the first week of December. While I thought that I would purchase one of the many options I found on Minted, I ended up finding a design I loved by Tiny Prints and went that route instead.

For those of you that didn't have a chance to send out any Christmas Cards, there is always time to send out a card for the New Year. Tiny Prints is having a 25% off site-wide sale, when you use the code NEWYEARS25 and it doesn't end until January 13th. Here are a few cards that I would definitely think about sending.

2014 - A Year in Review

I cannot believe that it is New Years Eve and the end of another fantastic year. 2014 was a year of ups and downs, but I am sad to see it go. I am looking forward to all that 2015 brings but wanted to reflect back on a few of the great times that we had throughout the year.

January - We're Expecting

January started with exciting new adventures. We discovered we were going to be parents and were able to tell our families the good news! We started to prepare for our baby's arrival, excited for the adventure ahead.

February - Family Visits and a Wedding

Each February my dad and his siblings all spend a week in Florida. We are lucky enough to live close by and get to spend time with family this week each year. This year we also celebrated the marriage of my cousin Allyse while everyone was in town visiting!

March

In March Jonathan and I decided to move into a new townhouse. It is in Plantation, Florida, has a lot more space than our 2-bedroom condo had, and would give Jillian her own room!

April - Jillian Harper's Birthday

Jillian Harper Foster was born sleeping on April 2, 2014. Our fist born was a beautiful baby girl that weighed 1 pound 3 ounces and was 11.5 inches long. We miss her every day but are so happy that we became parents this year.

May - A Visit from Friends

A few of our friends came down to Fort Lauderdale for Memorial Day Weekend. While the weekend as a whole was a great time, I think the most memorable part would be our games of True American. I have yet to play this game again and I don't know if it will ever be as great as it was this weekend.

June - The US Open

We traveled to Pinehurst for the US Open this June. This was my first golf tournament outside of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio and it was great to spend the weekend with family and friends. The tournament also fell on Father's Day weekend and gave us an opportunity to spend the weekend with Bruce, Jonathan's dad.

July - Our Anniversary and Family Vacation

Jonathan and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on July 13th. We had an amazing day together and I am so lucky to call him my husband.
Every July the Haemmerle Family plans a trip to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. This year it would be the first time that our whole family was together since Jillian Harper was born. We wanted to do something special, and decided a butterfly release would be something special that we could do to celebrate her life.

August - A Trip to Ohio

My cousin Jeff married Becky the second weekend of August. We thought it would be a perfect time to plan a trip to Ohio and spend a day at Cedar Point before the wedding. We have a tradition of going to Cedar Point every year, and this was the first time that Jonathan was able to join us.

September - Ohio State vs. Virginia Tech

I spent a long weekend in Columbus with family and friends. We tailgated and partied and cheered on Virginia Tech to a victory. It was great to spend time with my family, and friends from college that I do not get to see very often. I know that some people were upset that Ohio State lost, but I would have been happy either way since my two favorite teams were playing!

October - Remembrance Day

Jillian Harper is remembered daily by both Jonathan and I. We think of her often and do special things to make sure she is never forgotten. On this day in October we lit a candle to remember her and all babies that were lost too soon.

November - Thanksgiving Fun

November was filled with Thanksgiving decorating, crafts, and plans. We had a great time with great friends and I am glad that everyone was able to join us!

December - The End of 2014

During December there were many festivities, and activities that took place. One of my favorites took place when we were back in Virginia. We went out to meet friends on Tuesday, December 23 and ended up at the bar where Jonathan first said "I love you." It was almost 5 years ago, and of course we had to take a selfie!

I hope that everyone had a great 2014 and has an even better 2015. Happy New Year!
