Thoughts on Thursday | Stitch Fix

Over the past year or so I have heard of many people trying Stitch Fix and I wanted to see what it was all about. I ordered my first fix and it arrived this week! The process to order a Fix is pretty easy - you answer a few questions, you provide your sizes and ideal price point, link to your Pinterest board and 5 items arrive. You can choose clothing, outerwear, accessories, etc. My first fix came with 2 shirts, 1 pair of paints, 1 skirt and 1 dress!

The cost of the Stitch Fix is $20 - and this cost covers the selection of items, shipping of the items, and return shipping label. If you purchase items from the stitch fix that initial $20 goes towards your purchase. If you purchase all 5 items from your fix, you will receive a 25% discount.

When the box is shipped, everything I packaged nicely in tissue paper, and it is so exciting to open the paper and reveal the many prints and colors of the Stitch Fix. They also provide a style guide - which shows 2 different ideas for styling the item they picked for you.

41Hawthorne | Harriet Geo Print Fit & Flare Dress | $64.00
The first item I tried on was this Fit & Flare dress from 41Hawthorne. While I think that the dress is very cute, I did not like the fit on me. I felt that the area in the torso where the print pattern fabric meets the solid black fabric hit me at an odd location. I also felt that it was somewhat thin material for the price of the dress. It was a style I would definitely lean towards and was excited to see this dress!

Pixley | Ivy Petal Print Blouse | $58.00
The second item I tied was this awesome printed blouse. The blouse is similar to many items in my closet, on my Pinterest boards, and something I would definitely wear! Immediately upon seeing this blouse I knew that I needed it to be mine. When I tried it on, I loved the fit and decided I would definitely keep this! I was very happy to see that the fix was worth it - even if this is the only item I choose to keep!

41Hawthorn | Walt Skirt | $68.00
I love the ideas of pencil skirts, but do not always love how they fit me. This skirt was no different - I just didn't like the overall look or fit. I felt that the stripes were too small, and I wasn't sure of the overall look. I did love the stretchy and breathable fabric, and would definitely try other similar items in the future.

Collective Concepts | Cynthia Graphic Print Mixed Material Top | $58.00
This shirt was the one item that I was unsure of - and may still regret not keeping. I love the print, look and material but I was not quite sure of the fit. I went back and forth, and even asked a friend who loved it. Overall I decided to pass on this top but it is definitely cute!

Margaret M | Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant | $98.00
I love these pants! I was not sure at first as they have a great stretch to them, a gorgeous print, fit really well and will be perfect for work. While I am not 100% sold on this particular outfit I love the style and am looking for a really cute black or white detailed sleeveless top that can be worn with this to work.

After deciding what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to send back the process took only minutes. You log-in and check-out - In this process you have a chance to rate the price, fit, style and quality of the item. You can also provide feedback regarding the item to help the stylist for your next fix! You then put the items you want to return in the prepaid return packaging drop in any USPS box!

Erika styled my first fix and did an awesome job. I am hoping that I will have the opportunity to have her style my upcoming fixes too! I can't wait for my next Stitch Fix in August. If you are interested in learning more, signing up, or checking it out click here!
