As an early Christmas present I got a
silhouette cameo in early November. I have made a few items with it so far, but am really excited about the endless possibilities. I wanted to share a few of the items I have made so far. I am considering opening an etsy shop to sell some of the items that I make, but for now I prefer to make them for family and friends. If there is anything that you are looking and need help with let me know, I'd love to work on it for you!
The first project that I wanted to make was monogrammed tumblers. I made the gold tumblers for each of the friends that we had over for Thanksgiving. They were sitting at each person's place as a "place card" for dinner. After I made these my boss requested that I make tumblers for the managers at BeachPlace. I used the blue vinyl to create these - I forgot to take a picture of the guys version, which is a circle monogram, all of the girls were done in script monograms.
Since I felt that I mastered making monograms I wanted to try something that I saw on
Pinterest. I wanted to try to make some paper flowers. I am trying to make a large bouquet that I'll leave in Jillian's room, but started out by making 6 flowers. So far I am happy with how they have turned out!
My next project that I m going to tackle addressing envelopes. I love the look of hand calligraphy envelopes, but do not have the skills needed to do this on my own. I hope to tackle this project using the cameo and the sketch pens. Check back for updates in the upcoming weeks!
